The lipid peroxidation intensity in buds of birch trees (Betula pendula Roth.) growing in biotopes with different level of traffic load has experimentally been investigated under conditions of a relative norm and the action of lead. The highest lipid peroxidation level has been observed in buds of birch trees from the biotope with the highest value of anthropogenic load (Gagarin Avenue). Lead caused an decrease in lipid peroxidation intensity in buds of the trees in Gagarin Avenue and did not have an influence on this parameter of the birch trees from less polluted biotopes (the Kremlin territory and Belinsky Street). |
