The best-constant problem for the Lp – norm estimate in the class of nonnegative trigonometric polynomials is considered. The main result is the proof that extreme points of this class are polynomials with all zeros real. An exact order estimate for the best constant has been obtained. In the case p = 2, the explicit function whose extremum gives an exact norm estimate has been derived. |
