Based on the data of four nature reserves in the European part of Russia from 1994 to 2005, the problem of the relationship between vertebrate species composition indices and weather conditions has been considered. The absence of a pronounced correlation has been shown between variations in the vertebrate species composition and weather conditions. A conclusion has been reached on the vertebrate species composition stability in the nature reserves. Data insufficiency and fragmentariness on the biota parameter variations raise the question of systematic observations and research aimed at revealing the relationship between biodiversity and meteorological and climatic factors. |
