| Dissemination of illegal revolutionary literature in the territory of present-day Mordovia during the period of the 1905-1907 revolution is analysed. The geography, the scale, and the role of the spreading of illegal publications in the unfolding of the agrarian movement are considered. The article is based on the archive material of the police department. Special emphasis is made on the role of illegal literature in the development of the political conflict in Russian society during the period of the revolution. |
