An analysis has been made of the mathematical model of a simple water-supply system with a centrifugal pump and a storage tank. The equilibrium mode stability condition determined by the system parameters and consumption has been obtained. After introducing a physically based small parameter, a discontinuous limit cycle has been found. Investigation methods are demonstrated for studying stability, decomposition of the mathematical model, and analysis of bifurcation for the cases of stability loss and creation of a finite size limit cycle. The significance of the results obtained for the hydraulic system dynamics is discussed. |
