Abstract
The morphology of the fracture surface and defect substructure formed under creep in the fracture zone of technically pure aluminum samples have been investigated by the methods of scanning and transmission electron microscopy. It has been shown that the structure formed under creep and electric potential action is characterized by a higher self-organization degree of a dislocation substructure in the sample fracture zone as compared with the samples failed by creep under normal conditions.
