| The author considers from different points of view Latin borrowings in N.V.Gogols novel «The Dead Souls»
against the background of general analysis of N.V.Gogols style and the epoch when he lived and worked. An approach
to the classification of Gogols borrowings is outlined and substantiated with appropriate examples. Semantic
and grammar changes of borrowings in the process of their Russian assimilation are analyzed. Numerous examples
are cited. |
