| Some ideas of S.M. Solovyov concerning the nature of Old Russian bratchinas (confraternities) are considered.
It is stated that the criticism waged by historiographers of a later period at S.M. Solovyov's conclusions concerning
the bratchinas and their connection with all subsequent forms of brotherhoods is currently untenable. |
