Abstract
A technique to detect human parechoviruses and identify their types has been developed. The detection rate of parechoviruses among children with acute gastroenteritis has been revealed for the first time in Russia. The types of parechoviruses circulating among the population of the Nizhni Novgorod region have been determined.
