Abstract
Photooxidation stability of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in carbon tetrachloride solutions has been studied. The action of luminescent lamp light has been shown to lead to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons photodegradation. The stability of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons differs in a wide range; the most stable one is antracene. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon photostability has been proved to be using common chemical glassware made of opaque borosilicate glass.
