The composition of the brine of Lake Maloe Limanskoe in the Astrakhan region has been studied. The determination
has been carried out of peroxide oxidation of proteins in plasma and homogenate of rat heart tissues at intragastric
administration to outbred rats of NaCI, physiologically adequate dilution of the Astrakhan brine, and, for
comparison, the Volgograd bishofit. It has been found that the administration of the Astrakhan brine reduces the
content of both primary and final products of the PSP in the myocardium.
