Adrenaline (10-6 g/ml) reduced the rate of the tension development caused by replacement of Krebs solution with
distilled water in the experiments with rat myometrium. The effect was blocked by obzidan (10-6 g/ml), but not by
nicergoline (10-6 g/ml) and was enhanced (for adrenaline, 10-7 g/ml) by histidine (10-4 g/ml). This indicates that catecholamines
influence the transport of water in the myometrium. |
