Abstract
Thyroid gland hormonal activity under immobilization stress, administration of antioxidants, and their combined action has been studied. The results of the study of thyroid gland hormonal activity show a drop in 3-iodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) blood levels under immobilization stress. Antioxidant impact analysis has revealed some specific distinctions: both antioxidants furthered the development of hyperthyroidism in young rats, while in old animals, the antioxidants stimulated hormonopoiesis.
