Small longitudinal vibrations of a one-dimensional elastic system are considered in the quadratic approximation.
The momentum values of the waves excited by vibrations have been obtained under different initial conditions.
A possibility has been shown to generate either a group waves traveling in opposite directions with zero total momentum
or a group of waves traveling in the same direction with constant momentum. The correctness of the formal
application of wave momentum to the problem solution is discussed. |
