| This article is the first attempt in the national historiography to construct a model of the formation of the cultural and
educational space of the Russian province - in the historical aspect. The whole process that began simultaneously with
Russias modernization in 1860 and lasted until 1917 is conventionally divided by the author into three periods that
correlate with each other. The problem is analyzed using the example of Vladimir province, with extensive use of documentary
material concerning other parts of Russia for comparison. |
