| This article concerns the reception of artistic working and aesthetic views of Goethe by Friedrich Hebbel, one of
the greatest poets and playwrights of the transition period in the German literature of the nineteenth century. In this
context, the author considers the issues of the goals and objectives of art; the categories of nature and the beautiful;
interprets the perception of antique tragedy and mythology. The use of ancient literary forms in the works of Goethe
and Hebbel is also discussed. |
