Abstract
A kinetic approach has been developed to the description of formation of misoriented crystal regions close to disclinations. An analytical study has been carried out of dislocation ensemble self-consistent dynamics in the field of mesodefects (wedge disclination and disclination dipole). The coordinate dependences of stress tensor components of the screened disclination systems considered have been found. Mesodefects in the plastic zone have been shown to give rise to stratification of a homogeneous dislocation flow and to form regions with enhanced dislocation charge density. Such a redistribution of dislocations effectively screens elastic fields of mesodefects, substantially lowers the system energy and creates prerequisites for misoriented regions - broken subboundaries along extremum lines of the dislocation charge.
