Abstract
Using the reaction calorimetry, the difference of formation enthalpy of standard and microcrystalline states has been found to be 40 ± 10 % of melting enthalpy of nickel microcrystalline samples obtained by equal channel angular pressing (ECAP). A theoretical model based on equilibrium chemical thermodynamics has been proposed to interpret the measurement results.
