The article deals with the signs of the "second South Slavic influence", as reflected in the two Prologues of the
16th and the 17th centuries, in connection with the formation of the norm of the Russian literary language. The author
comes to the conclusion that a certain average principle of writing, which could affect the formation of the norm
of the Russian national literary language, was developed in the Prologues on the basis of interaction between literary-
Slavic and national-colloquial elements in the Prologues.
