Abstract
The article discusses some features of word order in the Lives of Gregory Tsamblak and Metropolitan Cyprian in terms of translation techniques characteristic of the southern Slav translation of the 14th century, in particular of the Tarnovo school. In contrast to Gregory Tsamblak's texts, Cyprian's writings have a different ratio of borrowings from the Greek grammar, hence he cannot be considered a typical representative of the Tarnovo school.
