Univerbization is a process of word-formation by which the words of a compound lexeme or of a syntactic construction
fuse into a single word/one-word lexeme: this one-word lexeme is called univerbizate. The article considers
the problem of univerbization on the basis of phraseological units in the Polish, Russian and Czech languages. Univerbization
is carried out with five word-building techniques: suffix derivation, disintegration, ellipsis, abbreviation,
and composition. |
