| The article considers the influence of Dostoevskys work on M. Voloshins philosophy of life. The author argues
that M. Voloshin was convinced that the work of F. Dostoevsky embodies the idea of the Russian tragedy. The
ultimate goal of art, according to M. Voloshin, must be a complete transformation of the world. In this sense, he
interpreted Dostoyevskys aphorism Beauty will save the world. |
