| The authors examine the concept of the 19th century history of Russia and the program of the state reconstruction contained in the book "Russia on the eve of the 20th century" by B.N. Chicherin. The reaction of the Slavophil part of the conservative camp on the anti-bureaucratic and constitutionalist trends of this book is exposed. Alternative proposals by A.A. Kireev and F.D. Samarin are analyzed. |
