Additional guarantees of citizens' right to appeal and address enshrined in the laws of the Russian Federation are considered. On the basis of the legal analysis, the author concludes that the Federal Law «On procedures for examining appeals and addresses from citizens of the Russian Federation» needs to be improved along with the legislation of the subjects of the Russian Federation aimed at enhancing the guarantees of the right of citizens to appeal and address, taking into account the existing positive experience of some regions.
