The relations between the royal government and the Church in England in the 12th-14th centuries are considered. The author gives an analysis of the provisions of the Constitutions of Clarendon by Henry II limiting the scope of the canon law in England and of J. Wycliffe's concept regarding the reform of the Catholic Church. |
