The results of dynamic tests of fiber reinforced concrete which was produced in the University of Cardiff (UK)
are presented. The static properties of this material significantly higher of static properties of conventional construction
concretes but cost of this fiber reinforced concrete is relatively low. The dynamic tests have been performed
using Kolsky method and its modifications: uniaxial compression, splitting and impact elasticity. The strength and
deformative characteristics of this fiber reinforced concrete at high strain rates and values of impact elasticity are
defined as a result of testing. Sensitivity of mechanical characteristics to strain rate is shown. |
