| The establishment of the Sikh fiscal system played an important role in the forming of the Sikh statehood in Punjab.
The author concludes that after the formation of a unified Sikh state under Maharaja Ranjit Singh its main feature
was the continuity of the fiscal system of the Mughals, which was due to the transformation of the Sikh state into the
empire, where the use of traditional forms of Sikh fisc could not ensure the economic interests of the country. |
