The application of deterministic models in signal multipath propagation simulation is restrained by high simulation
complexity. Some ways to reduce the costs of radio signal simulation on the basis of a faceted terrain model
have been determined. Experimental data have been obtained on the radio signal simulation error as a function of the
far-field criterion approximation and the significant terrain patch size. The values of parameters providing the least
simulation costs for a relative simulation error of 5% have been found. |
