Abstract
Transformation formulas for tensor solutions of the Helmholtz equation under translations (addition theorems) have been obtained. The formulas can be used to solve problems in theoretical and mathematical physics matching the boundary conditions of two or more spatial bodies, and in various problems of quantum mechanics. As an example, these formulas are shown to obtain invariant expansions of the interaction energy of spatial current distributions.
