The article explores V. Zazubrin's and A. Tarasov-Rodionov's approach to depicting the situation of a person who is forced to utilize inhumane practices to achieve a goal, which he perceives to be humane. The author observes some parallels in the problems and main motifs in the novels Chocolate by A. Tarasov-Rodionov and The Chip by V. Zazubrin and investigates the embodiment of the motif of sacrifice in these novels as well as in The Legend of the Grand Inquisitor by F.M. Dostoevsky. |
