| Specific words and their combinations are the source material to develop the skills of obtaining information from foreign scientific and technical texts. The focus of teacher's attention must be on the selection of terms developing students' competence in this line. Academic terminological dictionary in any foreign language must contain syllabus text materials. The paper suggests functional, logical semantic approach to the selection of terms. Probabilistic-statistical method must also be taken into consideration when compiling academic terminological dictionaries. |
