Low-frequency hydro-acoustic signals generated by river-going cargo/passenger ships, pleasure and sporting
boats have been registered experimentally and the results of their processing are presented. The level of hydroacoustic
signals has been measured and an amplitude-decreasing pattern during the signal propagation under natural
conditions in river environment is analyzed together with the signal spectral characteristics. Air-acoustic and bottomseismic
signals from river vessels have been registered simultaneously with the hydro-acoustic signals. A strong
similarity in amplitude-decreasing patterns of hydro-acoustic and bottom-seismic signals has been revealed which is
typical only of rivers. |
