Radioprotective properties of bee venom have been studied using different methods of its application. The effects of venom introduction on the rat blood system are analyzed before and after total-body ?-irradiation. Intraperitoneal injections of the venom (at doses of 0.1 mg/kg and 0.5 mg/kg) are shown to have anti-radiation action manifesting in the improvement of a number of hematological parameters. Bee venom, administrated in doses of 0.1 mg/kg and 0.5 mg/kg after the exposure, alleviates the acute radiation disease of moderate severity stimulating regeneration processes in the rat blood system.
