| We present an analysis of the semantic content and the linguistic explication of the concept «war» in the novel «The Living and the Dead» by K. Simonov. The functioning of this concept is considered in the context of its syntagmatic and paradigmatic features and on the basis of the data obtained from the analysis of the concept's associative potential in the associative dictionary. |
