Abstract
Laser gyroscope (LG) error sources are studied. The algorithms of the gyroscope dither drive noise injection and oscillation amplitude stabilization have been developed to minimize the random walk error. A generalized mathematical model of the LG output signal bias drift has been worked out. Based on the model, a bias drift compensation algorithm has been proposed that improves LG accuracy performance.
