We study self-consistent steady-state distributions of an alternating electric field and electron density in an inhomogeneous
plasma settled under the action of an averaged ponderomotive force on the background of a given ion
linear density profile. It is shown that the transfer of electron density through the plasma resonance point occurs in a
jump. The jump parameters depend on the external field amplitude and the ion density gradient. |
