| International activities of the Grand Mufti of Syria Ahmad Kuftaro and his active participation in international conferences are examined. The article also deals with the Syrian Mufti's biography, his views on major political events in the world and the development of relations with the USSR in the spiritual sphere. A. Kuftaro acted not only as the Mufti of the country, but also as a gifted politician who skilfully addressed political issues through the prism of Islam. |
