| We examine the first historical novel by Vsevolod Solovyov, «The Princess Ostrogska», and reveal the specifics of the author's perception of Catholicism, which is treated in this work as something purely negative and organically unacceptable for East Slavic culture. It is concluded that the novelist's approach is biased and that «The Princess Ostrogska» may be considered an ideological novel. |
