| Systematic alternation of quantitative and collective numerals in the modern Russian literary language is proved. The factors explaining the choice of the numeral category are characterized; their classification is given; some features of factors interaction are described. The study is carried out on the material of contemporary Russian fiction texts and television sports commentators' remarks. |
