Abstract
A possibility to estimate some acoustic parameters of an elastic layered seabed in a hydroacoustic channel with ice cover has been studied by numerical simulation of the space-time structure of the acoustic field generated by acoustic sources placed in the liquid and in the ice. The study has been carried out in the low-frequency range in a pulse mode using vertical and horizontal hodographs. It is shown that seabed acoustic parameters can be estimated by placing transmitting and receiving systems directly on the ice cover. The observed specific features can be used in glaciological and geophysical investigations in the Arctic regions.
