Some features of broadband terahertz pulse focusing by a plano-convex cylindrical lens are numerically simulated and studied on the basis of the Fourier transform. We consider both the model pulse with a Gaussian space-time profile and a real terahertz pulse produced by the optical rectification of a p-polarized ultra-short laser pulse propagating through the electrooptic crystal. It is shown that different pulse spectral components are focused at different points on the lens axis. |
