Abstract
Research, design and engineering works have been completed to upgrade a laboratory prototype of a scanning radiometric system. The measurements have been carried out in field conditions at off-nadir viewing angles of 50°, 55°, and 60°. Radio emission spectra and polarization characteristics at 34 GHz and 12.19 GHz of intrinsic thermal radio emission of clean water surface and water with an oil spill 0.2-7 mm thick have been measured for different water roughness with water wave heights of 1-16 cm.
