A method of indoor position location with Wi-Fi LAN infrastructure (IEEE standard 802.11a) has been proposed. The frequency coherence function of a space channel between the access point and the user's antenna is used as a metric for solving the positioning problem. The required receiver bandwidth is estimated. The method proposed has been shown to provide a higher accuracy position location than the one based on the analysis of the received signal power distribution spectrum. |
