Resonance phenomena caused by the excitation of surface and volume plasmons in the atomic cluster interacting with an external alternating field are studied. The resonances of the cluster dipole moment at volume plasmon frequencies are found to be heavily damped by electron-electron-collision losses, while the field resonances at the cluster center under normal conditions are no less pronounced than those of the surface plasmon. |
