Abstract
Cytotoxicity and the effect of several platinum(IV) complexes with aminonitroxyl radicals on the cell cycle have been studied. Cytotoxic properties of the complexes increase with the lengthening of the alkyl chain of axial ligands. Platinum complexes kill HeLa cells, but they stop the cell cycle in H1299 cells. Cells of both types are most sensitive to the platinum complexes during S-phase of the cell cycle.
