Abstract
Kinetic properties of mitochondrial liver alcohol dehydrogenase under toxic hepatitis have been studied by a new kinetic method. It has been found that under toxic hepatitis there is a significant decrease in enzyme-reaction substrate affinity, mostly in the reverse enzymatic reaction, which leads to an increase in the proportion of highly toxic acetaldehyde in the liver cells.
