| In the experiments on sexually mature male rats, the influence of heparin on cardiotropic effects of apitoxin and melittin has been studied on the isolated rat heart. Apitoxin and melittin have been shown to decrease the heart rate, the maximum pressure in the left ventricle, the speed of contraction and relaxation. Heparin injected in the mixture with apitoxin and melittin blocks their cardiotropic effects. |
