An analysis of 25 indicators of heart rate variability (HRV) has been carried out in 114 pregnant women before delivery at term. An increase in HRV has been shown to occur 10-5 days before delivery in an uncomplicated pregnancy. This indicates a decrease in the effectiveness of adrenergic effects on the heart rate and is considered as one of the signs of mother's readiness to give birth. |
