Abstract
The problem of highly realistic image synthesis is considered. We propose the algorithms for computing the form factors and for adaptive partitioning of the scene into fragments to accelerate the radiosity method by reducing the amount of computation at the most time-consuming stage. Based on these algorithms, a three-dimensional scene visualization system has been implemented and an analysis has been carried out of the increase in performance achieved.
