Abstract
An employment record book is an official personal document recording the employment status of its owner. Under the current legislation, the employer must make appropriate records of work in the employee's record book. Practice shows that the employment record book is an effective means for protecting workers' rights from violations on the part of employers. Abolition of employment record books will have negative consequences. In particular, the level of social guarantees for employees will be reduced .
